Parade of Lights, Traildust, Park Meadows Mall, and New Moon

Last Saturday, we drove up to Longmont to watch the Parade of Lights with some friends.  Thankfully, the weather wasn’t as cold as it had been earlier in the week, so we were able to enjoy the parade.

At one point during the parade, I pointed out a walking snowman. Adrianna told me it was just a person dressed up. However, she insists that Santa is real because she has seen him. Telling her it was just a person dressed up doesn’t fly when it comes to Santa.

After the parade, we headed to Jeremy and Amy’s house for chili, potato soup, and cinnamon rolls. There were 8 kids (four girls and four boys) all between the ages of 3 and 9, so it was a fun chaos.

On Sunday, we decided to go to south Denver to take Adrianna to Trail Dust Steakhouse. She has been asking to eat there for awhile, I think because she likes the fact that the place looks like a barn from the outside. Since it was the middle of the afternoon, we got right in and she enjoyed the slide there very much.

After Trail Dust, we headed to the Park Meadows Mall. We hadn’t been there in a couple years and I’d forgotten how beautiful it is, especially when all decked out for Christmas. The whole time we were there, Adrianna pranced contentedly down the halls in front of us, loudly humming some nameless tune. She loves going to any mall and was having a blast.

On Monday, we had arranged for Quint and Julie to watch Adrianna so that Greg and I could have a date before the baby comes. I was so excited for this date that I totally forgot about my last doctor’s appointment that afternoon. Whoops! After dropping Adrianna off, we had dinner at PF Changs and then followed that up with the movie New Moon. The movie was free thanks to all the points I have accumulated on mycokerewards.com. (So was Greg’s Christmas present, binoculars, from me! I let him open them early when we attended the musical, Wicked, last month.)
