Two times in the past week, Adrianna has initiated the following conversation with me. Both times, it went something along the lines of:
Adrianna: Mommy, do you know what I want to be when I grow up?
Me: What do you want to be?
Adrianna: A teacher.
Me: A teacher? That’s a good thing to be. Why do you want to be a teacher?
Adrianna: Then I can teach people things. Teachers are nice. And you can build me a school, right?
Please tell Adrianna a teacher is a wonderful job to have. She is experiencing a teacher other than Mom and Dad for the first time on a consistent basis. It must be a positive one.
That’s so cute. She knows that teachers are in schools, and schools have to come from somewhere … Mommy provides everything right now, so she must be able to build a school!
