I love the Christmas lights on the trees and the house. 🙂 The people in her picture are Greg, Adrianna, Bree and Amber. Somehow, I am the biggest. Hmmm…

Dress
I love seeing the girls wear clothing that was once mine. So special.
Adrianna’s Christmas Wish List
Adrianna has made two Christmas wish lists during this past week. Both were done without help or guidance. I love how she is taking the initiative to sound out and write words on her own. This one was from several days ago. Translation: For Christmas, I want Barbies. For Christmas, I want a toy […]
How To Train Your Dragon
Toward the end of October, we watched the movie How to Train Your Dragon. Twice. We all enjoyed the movie a lot. It inspired Adrianna to make this piece of artwork: a dragon surrounded by flames.
Princess GlennBex
Adrianna has a little notebook in which she has made many drawings of various Mario characters and princesses. Tonight she was talking about a picture of a person she had named “Glennbex”. At first I wasn’t sure I heard her correctly, but she verified that it truly was GlennBex and that she was a bad […]
Literary Tea Party
One of the homeschool groups we are part of put on a literary tea party for girls ages 4-7 to discuss the book Little House in the Big Woods. There were about 15 little girls in attendance. It was so cute watching them talk about the book.
Little Pianists
My little girls enjoy playing the piano. Adrianna seems to prefer the organ sound and likes to use the damper pedal. The almost-five year age difference between the girls has been pretty easy. Adrianna is very helpful and rarely seems jealous of Bree (except for the occasional moment when I pull out the camera trying […]
Mario Pictograph
For our Math curriculum, we are using Saxon Math. The recommended assignment for Friday was to create a Winter Activities pictograph, graphing favorite indoor vs. outdoor winter activities. When making my lesson plans the night before, I decided that it would be a lot more fun for Adrianna to make a Super Mario pictograph instead. […]
Making Fossils
In science this week we learned about sedimentary and igneous rocks, as well as fossils and how they are formed. We also created our own fossils by pressing some seashells (from our honeymoon in 2000) into a mixture of corn starch, baking soda and water and let it harden overnight. Adrianna really enjoyed the hands-on […]
They Grow So Fast
Greg made me a height chart so I could keep track of the girls’ height. I wanted a custom one since most of the ones I had seen in-store or online didn’t go as high as I wanted them to, ending around 5.5 feet or something like that. I am pretty sure both of my […]
