So many Legos
Our playroom is overrun with Legos. At least the majority of them are on a blanket for easy cleanup. It definitely helps with cleanup. Although somehow they still ended up getting scattered ALL OVER this afternoon. *sigh* I’d better watch where I step!Â
Forced From Home Exhibit
We visited the Forced From Home Refugee interactive exhibit in Boulder, put on by Doctors Without Borders. Afterward, we played in the water and got ice cream.
First Day of School
First day of school for Adrianna (7th grade) and Bree (2nd grade.) Well, technically we started our [home]school last week, but today was the first day of their one-day-a-week options school where they have the opportunity to take fun extra-curriculars. Adrianna is taking Art, Set Design, Ameritowne, Computer Geeks, Maker Space, and Destination Imagination. Bree […]
Evening Walk
Evening walk on the trail behind our neighborhood (earlier this weekend before all the smoky haze blew in.)
Recess
Today’s recess, at the splash park while everyone else is in school! 😉
Solar Eclipse
This weekend, our family joined thousands of others and drove up to Wyoming to be in the solar eclipse’s path of totality. (Thank you to my sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Kendall, for hosting us and to Karen for making the long drive with us!) Even though our drive home was twice as long as […]
Branson
Branson Trip with the Reimers to celebrate Dave and Marilyn’s 50th wedding anniversary. 16 people (7 of whom were between the ages of 1-12) in one house for a week = chaos + lots of fun and family togetherness. Silver Dollar City, Swimming, a Family “Variety Show”, game nights, boating, a show (Moses), and good […]
Church Picnic
Today, our church celebrated its one year anniversary with a picnic at the park. All three girls ran all over the playground and did some exploring of the trails by the lake. Right as we were leaving, it began to rain and the little girls happily frolicked in it, faces upturned with joyful welcome. Bree […]
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Watching the Denver Symphony perform the music of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It was “magical.” We’ve always loved the music score so it was neat to see it played, live, while watching. Such a neat experience. There is something special about watching one of your favorite movies with hundreds of others who […]
