Church Search

We have started attending a new church in our area. I am pretty excited. It is much closer to home; it is only 20 minutes away compared to 50/60 minutes away like our old church was. We had decided to quit attending the other church in South Denver last year due to the distance. It was too far away for us to really get involved in anything other than Sunday morning service. Plus, we weren’t excited about driving that far every weekend with a new baby in tow. And lastly,we were planning on moving to another city at that time, so it seemed like a lot of stress to find a church to attend for only a month or two before we would be moving away. So as a result of all these things, we had been kind of drifting as far as church goes since Adrianna was born. And also in part because we were too lazy to get our sleep-deprived selves out of bed on the weekend and because we were dreading the prospect of having to find a new church. We attended the main campus of Riverside a couple times but were really slacking off in our churchgoing. Searching for a church can be stressful, especially when one is not overly outgoing by nature.

It has been on my heart for some time to find another church. One close to home and filled with friendly believers. I really desire to get involved in a fellowship outside of just Sunday morning worship too. So we finally decided to start our church search a few weeks ago. I did some searches online for church websites in our area. Speaking of this, more churches need websites. And GOOD, updated websites. I found this new church from their website, which gave basic information about the church, their service times, and available ministries.
When we showed up on the first Sunday we attended, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that it is the church that a friend/coworker of Greg’s attends. We really like Philippe and his family, so that is a big plus for us right there. The people there seem friendly and the worship and message were exactly what we are looking for. It felt so good to be back in a church. Like being home. They also have great ministries for children and young parents (Awana, MOPS) and are homeschool friendly (they open up their gym every Friday for homeschoolers), so it is looking very promising.

I think you should offer to do websites for churches and charge some kind of fee for extra income. would be good for them and enjoyable for you!!
