Dad Versus the Bird
One fine day, my dad pulled his car into our front yard so that he could give it a good washing with the hose. Growing up, our front yard had two big aspen trees. They were perfect for climbing and us kids loved perching in them. So did birds.
On this fine day as he was washing the car, he noticed a bird in one of the trees above the freshly-washed and spotless car. Afraid that the bird would poop and mess up the car’s new shine, he decided that the best course of action would be to scare the bird away. By throwing a rock.
The rock went up. The bird flew away. The rock hit a branch. The rock came tumbling down. On the car. The newly washed car now had a newly created dent.
