This week, we celebrated Cate’s 6th birthday. I sometimes think we should’ve made her middle name to be Joy, because that is what she brings to our family and it describes her general spirit, too. She has lots of big theological questions and a tender heart full of faith, but also tends to be a bit mischievous.
She loves Octonauts and learning about aquatic creatures, My Little Pony, emojis, and drawing. She is in Kindergarten this year and thrilled that she gets to attend the homeschool electives school with her big sisters, with whom she tries really hard to keep up with in all things. She is starting to sound out simple words (because she hears Bree doing it) and still loves school. She recently started riding horses with Bree and likes to attend dance classes as well. We are thankful every day for our little surprise, Catharina Rose.
