Alki Beach at low tide. The girls were a little grossed out by all the slimy seaweed exposed during the low tide, but we saw lots of neat ocean life, including a red lion’s mane jellyfish, anemone, and lots of crabs of several types. There were a few naturalists from the aquarium that were on the beach talking to everyone, which was fun. The girls and I returned later in the week and the they spent several hours playing in the sand while I read a book.
The girls and I also spent some time at Seward Park near Lake Washington later in the week. We all enjoyed the greenery and ferns everywhere; it is such a beautiful area.
We are thankful we were able to visit Seattle again while Greg was there for work. It is fun joining him on his business trips and having an extended time to explore the city. I told him that he needs to see if Amazon will send him to another city sometime for us to explore. If the 2nd HQ isn’t built in Denver someday, hopefully it will be built somewhere that is also fun to visit!
