April 22 – 23
We decided to end our trip a day earlier than planned due to a couple calls from our alarm service notifying us that a motion sensor alarm inside our house had gone off. This has never happened before so it made us pretty nervous. Even after having our neighbor walk around the house the following morning to make sure that all windows were intact, we couldn’t help but worry about what could have set the alarm off.
I don’t have many pictures from April 22nd. It was basically a long day of driving across the Mojave desert. We were anxious to get to our hotel in Utah. On the 23rd, it was another long day of driving but it was enjoyable due to the beautiful scenery of Utah and Colorado. We made a few stops in Utah to enjoy the view.
We did run into some snow as we drove through the mountains of Colorado.
Once we got home, Greg bravely checked every room in our house while the girls and I waited in the car for the “all clear”. Turns out, it was a false alarm. Bummer. But it worked out okay; Greg got a day to recuperate before going back to work and our friends invited us over for a delicious grilled Easter dinner.
