On Thursday, Adrianna made a necklace out of several types of pasta. The pasta had been dyed several different colors and she was very proud of it.
The pasta necklace was on our coffee table for a couple days when it wasn’t being worn by her or by me (at her request, of course). We figured that would be a safe enough place for it…until we came home yesterday to find only the string left. All the pasta was gone. Apparently the dogs were only able to resist the temptation for 2 days before giving in and eating the pasta. It didn’t even cross my mind that they would recognize the uncooked pasta as food.
Poor Adrianna was pretty upset and cried as she showed me the remaining fragments that she found on the floor. I hope, for the dogs’ sake, that the dye was non-toxic.
Aww poor thing! I bet the disappointment was close to when a child loses their first balloon to the sky! Guess she will need to make a new one!
