Basin Picnic & Cindy’s Open House

On July 11th, we went to the annual Basin Electric picnic in Wheatland. Karen, Cindy, Layla, and Aidan also came. The kids had such a good time. We got to the park early, which was awesome because they were able to jump in the big, inflatable tiger alone before the bigger kids began monopolizing it.

After a busy afternoon of jumping, running, sliding, swinging, and playing, we brought the kids to my parents’ house where my mom offered to watch them while they napped so Karen, Cindy, Greg, and I could return to the park and play Bingo. We didn’t win, but we love playing.

After naptime, we returned for the kids and then Karen, Cindy, and I took them to the local pool. Once again, the kids had a blast! They splashed and laughed the whole time we were there. It was nice for us too; since there was a kiddy pool we were able to let them play to their hearts’ content instead of us having to hold them the whole time.

Then last weekend, Greg, Adrianna, and I headed back up to Wyoming yet again. This time to Laramie for Cindy’s open house. She and Kendall just bought their first house. 🙂

I am so glad Adrianna gets to see her cousins so often. Layla and Aidan are only a year and a half younger than Adrianna, and they got along pretty good. Other than a few squabbles over toys anyways. Layla follows Adrianna around, and both kids mimic her antics. Adrianna also enjoys seeing her cousin Ebony. (She calls her “Eh-buh-me”.)

Layla and Aidan are getting so big. They will be 2 in August and are talking more and more, especially Layla. She cannot say “Adrianna” yet; she pronounces it “Donna”. Too cute.

  1. rumor has it, that a really nice daddy of the kids ordered them a little “mickey mouse clubhouse” jumping air thing for their birthday present…not a HUGE one but a backyard one 🙂 i am glad you all could make it over it was a blast!
