As if the kids did not have enough toys, now they are making their own characters out of paper. (Which means lots of paper scraps scattered throughout the room.) Between their many drawings, “books” they create (papers/drawings stapled together), and these paper characters, we go through a LOT of paper! Oh, and Bree’s latest thing […]

Wait at the Library
Adrianna is at her stop-motion animation class and it is too far to drive back home before it will be time to pick her back up, so the little girls and I are having fun at a nearby library. We libraries.
Customizable Worksheets
I love worksheets that can be used and customized for both girls: sight words for Bree and letters for Cate. I wish every moment of our homeschool day was as peaceful as the pictures that I post seem to show. In all honesty, it isn’t always easy. Some days, there are tears. Some days, there […]
Soaring
Soaring over the mountains. And down the slide.
Letters, Patterns, and Topic Sentences

Thankful
Today I am thankful for a new church home and community (even if it requires stepping out of this introvert’s comfort zone!), sweet friends with whom I can share real life struggles, a husband who encourages me to take regular time off for myself, and the joy of watching my daughters delight in the wonder […]
Classic Sibling Arguments
Some of these feel like everyday occurrences at our house. Greg had to hide certain My Little Pony and Minnie Mouse cups, and then we bought all plain, generic, matching ones so we wouldn’t have to listen to those arguments every meal.
Family Photos
We got family photos taken today. I captured this silly face by Cate. I love these silly and sweet girlies.
Timing
Have you ever noticed that young children don’t need to use the restroom until right after the server brings your food to the table?
Sweet Pats
I was taking a quick nap on the couch when I felt little hands softly stroke my face in an attempt to wake me up. When I continued to pretend to be asleep the little hands patted my head and then she gave me a kiss on the forehead. Three-year-olds are the best.
