Adrianna found this branch in the yard and decided to make a Nature Journal and poem about it. (I just wish I would’ve thought to take a picture of the leaves before they started to curl!) Fluttering Leaves Leaves are pretty, green and nice. Fluttery like the wind. Fairies land to rest their wings on […]

Last Day of Second Grade
Adrianna’s last “official” day as a 2nd grader – where did the time go?
Mammoths and Mastodons
Our Pneuma Group took a field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. One of our favorite places to visit! We visited their special exhibit, Mammoths and Mastodons. We also went up to their rooftop terrace where we were able to look at the sun using a special telescope. I don’t think I’ve […]
School Outside
Doing our schoolwork outside today. She was very excited to hang up the bird feeder she put together and painted.
A Day in the Homeschool Life
Reviewing spelling words with Adrianna in school today while Bree plays with Legos and Cate practices her kicking skills. I love it when school feels relaxed and our day goes smoothly. And don’t you love Adrianna’s fancy velvet dress? LOL. I didn’t let her wear it out for Bible study this morning so she wore […]
Bree and School
When I told Adrianna that it was time to start our schoolwork for the day, Bree piped up, “I wanna do school.” So I got out Adrianna’s old math manipulatives for her and now she is happily making shapes. Learning is fun!

We currently have 20 items checked out from the library and most of them are books for Adrianna. So happy she has discovered a love for reading. Her current favorite is a series about a young Nancy Drew. She loves trying to solve the mystery before Nancy does. It makes me so happy to check […]
Art Museum Field Trip
Making art at the Art Museum.

Domesday Book
We had a fun history lesson today. We were learning about William the Conqueror and the Domesday Book (like a census) he had put together after he conquered England in 1066 AD. The Domesday Book lists everyone who lived in England at the time and, knowing we have ancestors from there, I decided to Google […]
