It is funny how much the 5 year old suddenly wants to play with a certain toy (that she previously couldn’t care less about) simply because the 1 year old wants to play with it. This was one that Adrianna previously told me to donate because she didn’t care for it. Until Bree found it […]

My Hairdresser
Sometimes when I am putting Adrianna to bed, she will offer to play with my hair or fix my hair in a bid to get me to stay in the room a little longer. I absolutely love having my hair played with, so it usually works. Here is a lovely style she made for me. […]
Cinderella
I was making our bed this morning when I hear a little voice pipe up behind me, “Mom, you are doing it wrong!” Adrianna then proceeds to fold back part of the top of the blanket and says, “See, doesn’t that look better?” I ask her where she learned how to do that, and she […]
Thanks, Cinderella

Fairy Pants
Overheard today: “Go put some pants on.”“But I’m a fairy!”“In this house, fairies wear pants.” Adrianna had only her ballet leotard on when this conversation took place. She and Greg finally compromised and she added some tights to her ensemble.
Dolphin Adventure Book
We read Dolphin Adventure as a part of my daughter’s Kindergarten reading material. We were only planning on reading a couple of chapters tonight, but she loved it so much that she kept begging for more. We read the whole thing in one sitting and we both enjoyed it. Great story.
Ballet / Tap
Adrianna has been asking to take ballet for a couple of months, so I enrolled her in a ballet / tap class. It it a once-a-week class that started last week. I love that the class size is small and there were two instructors. This can also count towards her physical education requirements for homeschooling […]
Gingerbread Girl
The homeschool co-op that Adrianna goes to had an end of semester program last week. Adrianna’s Kindergarten class sang a song about the Gingerbread Man while each wore a mask that they had made. (Adrianna informed me that hers was a gingerbread GIRL.) And sure enough, her mask had pink hair, red lips and a […]
Twenty and Ten
Adrianna and I just finished Twenty and Ten as a part of our Sonlight / homeschool Kindergarten reading. It prompted some great discussion. Now I need to get the movie loosely based on the book from Netflix (Miracle at Moreaux) so we can watch it together. Now we are reading Mary on Horseback.
Tangled
Adrianna just came up and told me to never cut her hair because she wants it to grow as long as it was on Tangled.
