One Year Well Baby Checkup
Adrianna had her one-year well baby checkup this afternoon. We were just a month late. I can never seem to get her there on time. So here are her stats, of which I am quite proud:
- Height: 31.75 inches, which places her into the 95th percentile for her age (13 months)
- Weight: 23 lbs, 1 oz, which places her into the 75th percentile for her age
So she continues to be a tall girl. Not surprising, since her Daddy is almost 6’5″ and I am not short either at 5’7″.
Poor Babyanna had to get four shots today. I had her get the chicken pox vaccine just in case, since I am still not convinced that the rash she had was really chicken pox earlier this year. She was such a brave girl; she didn’t even cry or whimper after the first two shots. But then she had the MMR shot, which the nurse said stings pretty bad, and she cried pretty hard for that one. I couldn’t wait to gather her into my arms after that. Once I was holding her again, she settled down pretty quickly and began to be her normal cheery self, pointing out things in the room with her “Da?” that she always does.
The doctor had lots of good things to say about Adrianna’s development. The doctor was surprised that she could identify parts of her body already, specifically when I asked Adrianna where her tongue was and then Adrianna stuck it out for the doctor. 🙂
Oh what a good baby! 🙂
Wow that is pretty impressive. E barely acts like he recognizes his name and rarely responds to anything I say to him. He’s too busy to be bothered with me.
