The Chase

As I sat down on our floor today, I immediately heard a noise that sounded like quick, excited breathing and the sound of little baby hands and knees crawling towards me. I deftly manuevered out of the way and crawled to another part of the living room. Much laughing ensued from the baby. Her eyes twinkling, she switched directions and propelled herself in my direction as fast as her little arms and legs could go, which happens to be quite fast. Immediately, I changed directions and crawled out of reach again. Again, more belly laughs, excited breathing sounds, and a change of crawling direction from baby. We repeated these manuevers over and over. Each time included many baby laughs. I think we have discovered a new game. I just hope the knees of my jeans can withstand the punishment.
