I was letting Chloe and Molly out into our backyard this evening after we got back from dinner at the Black-Eyed Pea. Just as I’d opened the door and was about to walk out onto our porch, I saw it. It was huge, and it was dangling right in front of my face. On a web. I let out my “spider scream” – louder than most of my spider screams too I must add, as this spider was quite large and so thus warranted extra volume. Adrenaline started rushing through my veins as I hurriedly jumped back, FAR back, into the kitchen. I get shivers down my spine just thinking how close I came to that thing being ON me. And on my face, no less. *shudder*
Greg heard my scream from upstairs and I think I scared him. He thought something serious had happened, like an eagle had swooped down on one of the dogs or something. Sorry Greggors! Then he saved the day by getting rid of the spider. He didn’t kill it though; just knocked it and its web into the backyard. So it can come back to haunt me tomorrow. I hate spiders.
