Adrianna is on the floor doing her math and Bree decided she wanted to “do school” with her. Cate is nearby as well (off-screen in her “baby pen”). Even Cate is captivated by our science video on reptiles this afternoon.

So Many Books
So many good books I want to read aloud with Adrianna and not nearly enough time in the day for them all. And I love that I run into other homeschooling families at this library almost every time we go! I think the last 4 out of 5 visits we have, anyway. I love our […]
Butterfly Pavilion
Bree watching the butterflies flying around.  It is REALLY tough to get a good picture of Bree. She rarely smiles for the camera (unless she can see herself in the viewfinder and then she makes silly faces.) I have to take a bunch and hope I catch a few good candids. Beautiful baby
Homeschool Pros…and cons
One big pro to homeschooling (for me) is all the extra time I get to spend with my kids. However, one con to homeschooling is also ALL the extra time I get to spend with my kids. Though most days it is #1, today was shaping up to be #2. Off to the park we […]
School Outside
Taking advantage of the beautiful morning by doing school outside. Bree’s very excited about her new pattern blocks. Bree LOVES to do school. Right now it is all fun and games for her so she often ASKS if we can “do school.” I am doing my best to try to incorporate her into our school […]
A Horse is a Horse
Bree loves horses of all kinds, even statues. Taking a break from school to draw horses.
Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
Reading “Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH” to Adrianna as our current bedtime story. I love it that we are to the stage where we can read a book together that we BOTH enjoy. 🙂 And bonus, she often wants to read an additional chapter every night and offers to play with my hair while […]
America the Beautiful Camp
A mom in our homeschool group who has a degree in music held an “America the Beautiful” camp this week at her home. Each day, they would learn patriotic songs, make patriotic-themed crafts and learn a bit of history too. Music and crafts – sounded perfect for Adrianna. She enjoyed it very much. The kids […]
Literary Tea
Enjoyed a fun Literary Tea (a book club with crafts and activities for the kids) this morning. This month was on “Anne of Green Gables.” Then, came home to two large boxes full of BOOKS on our porch – Yay! That was a fast delivery! Now I just need to find room on our bookshelves […]
Homeschool Curriculum
Just finished ordering all our #homeschool curriculum for next year. Now I am looking forward to our shipments to arrive – getting new books is always so exciting! I am using Sonlight for History, Reading and Science. I am so excited that the Readers correspond to what we are learning in history now that we’ll be in […]
