The funny thing is that neither of us have ever shown Adrianna how to use the earpieces. She saw them in her Daddy’s ears and so she just reached up and grabbed one of the earpieces out of his ear in placed it into her own.

Fever and an Evening at The Wal-Mart
This evening I made a quick trip to the Wal-Mart near our house in order to purchase a thermometer. (Adrianna is burning up with fever, which has me quite worried and which is why I am still up at 8 minutes after midnight.) As I was perusing through the fruit section, trying to figure out […]
Please get your hand off our waitress’s butt
Add that to the list of something I never thought I would have to tell my 17 month old daughter. I received some really good news at work today. To celebrate, Greg took me to PF Changs for dinner. I was happily chowing down my Mongolian Beef. It was so delicious that my attention was […]
More on Feeding the Dogs
If you want someone who eats whatever you put in front of him, get a dog. Toddlers, however, are a completely different story. Our dogs have never had it so good in regards to their mealtime, complements of Adrianna. Not only do they get many yummy tablescraps from Adrianna’s meals that are tossed onto the […]
Uh Oh
Adrianna’s new saying of the week is, “Uh oh.” She says it when she “accidently” drops food on the floor. She says it when she knocks over her stacking toys. And she says it when she takes off her shoes. She recently outgrew her last pair of Robeez shoes. (Robeez are the BEST toddler shoes […]
Not Your Typical Butterfly Kisses
Instead of “butterfly kisses” I am receiving snot-filled smooches. But I am not complaining at all. I love every slobbery kiss, although I wouldn’t mind doing without the mucous. Adrianna has a cold right now that has her nose running with a constant drip. This doesn’t stop her from offering up kisses to her Daddy […]
You Gotta Shake It, Baby
By now, you would think that I would have learned that peace and quiet isn’t always a good thing when you have a toddler in the house. This lesson was reiterated for me this afternoon when I found Adrianna had shaken the entire contents of a salt shaker out onto an end table and was […]
Our week in review
This past week has been a fun one. Adrianna’s Aunt Kristi made the long drive out here and we had a nice visit. Adrianna was thoroughly spoiled. Truth be told, so were Greg and I, as Kristi kindly got up with Adrianna on the mornings where we didn’t have to work, which meant we got […]
How to Properly Feed the Dogs
How to Properly Feed the Dogs by Adrianna Thoughtfully notice that their food dish is empty. Pick it up and carry it over to the kitchen cupboards. Open a couple cupboard doors to peruse the contents before remembering the correct door which houses the dog food. Try to insert bowl into the dog food bag […]
Nigh Nigh and Nana
Adrianna and I have a new game that we play at bedtime. As I turn out the lights and leave her room, I say, “Night Night” and she repeats back, “Nigh Nigh.” I will call out, “Night Night” as I continue down the hall and she will echo back again, “Nigh Nigh.” This often will […]
