With Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought it was time to pull these Valentine’s Day / Love themed papers back out of the old archives and give them a little reboot. These were part of the Sweetheart kits I created back in 2009 and they have been in retirement for the past few years. They are now residing in my Etsy Store. 🙂 Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read my post about Anne and also to those who donated toward her adoption grant. I appreciate it so much. I am adding a widget in my sidebar for her. I am still praying that her forever family will find her and adopt her soon. Don’t forget that you can still make donations or pray for Anne or any other sweet orphan at Reece’s Rainbow. If you haven’t checked out the Reece’s Rainbow site, I encourage you to do so. Your heart will be touched by all the sweet little faces that are waiting for families.
Okay, on to business. I joined the DST Blog Train for August because I knew that I needed a little kick in the pants to get some more designing done. It worked. I have a little mini-kit available for you. 🙂
You can click on the preview image above to be taken to my page containing all of my digital scrapbook freebies available for download.
If you found my blog from the DST Blog Train, then you most likely arrived from Outside The Box Design Studio.
Your next stop on the DST Blog Train is Ramona Memories.
For a listing of all participating designers, you can check out the Blog Train Blog.
Thank you for your time in leaving a comment. Each one makes my day!
Last week I posted the free papers that go with this kit. I have finally got some embellishments created to go along with it. Embellishments are always tougher for me to create than papers. Perhaps because I utilize papers a lot more in my own scrapping than I do embellishments?
Anyway, here is the updated preview of both the papers and embellishments.
You can click on the preview above to be taken to my full list of freebies available for download. No waiting, no 4shared. 🙂 The link to the embellishments has been added below the link to download the papers. If you already downloaded the papers, that download link has not changed so you do not need to download the papers again.
The full kit includes:
- 7 patterned papers
- 5 solid papers
- 3 ribbons
- 2 4×6 photo overlays
- 2 Wordart
- 3 flowers
- 1 jeweled hearts scatter
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to email and comment. You all make my day.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Wow, I cannot believe it has been over a year since I created a free digital scrapbook kit for you all to download! I guess Bree was born not long after the last kit, so my evenings aren’t as leisurely or free as they used to be. 🙂
But you can’t be mad at Bree, since she was the inspiration for this latest kit. LOL.

I have a few coordinating embellishments that I hope to post later.
Comments are always appreciated if you download.
I have another free digital scrapbook template for you. Looks like I am averaging one a month. Sad. I really need to pick up the pace with my own scrapping so I can create more templates too. Now if only some more inspiration would come my way! 🙂
Here is the layout I used to create the template.

Just a note: the kit I used on my example layout is a freebie by Sweet Shoppe Designs. I am not sure how long it will be available but, as of tonight, it looks like it is still available for download at Donna Downey’s blog if you are interested. Here is a preview of the kit:
We took our first trip to Disneyland back in March. As I was going to start scrapping the many photos this past week, I realized I didn’t have any kits that were exactly what I was looking for in the colors I was looking for. Specifically, the red of my daughter’s Minnie Mouse dress and the black of Mickey’s ears. So, I decided to make my own papers using the exact colors from my photos and it evolved into a mini-kit that I would love to share with you.
You can click on the image preview to be brought to my page of free downloads.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I am “officially” a digital scrapbook designer. I applied and was accepted to be a designer over at goDigitalScrapbooking.com. (Thanks for the tip Erin!!)
I cannot even express just how very excited (and nervous) I am over this new opportunity. It is something I have been desiring for awhile and I am so thrilled to be part of such a wonderful community over there.
My goal is to continue to offer freebies here too. I am so thankful to have such faithful and encouraging readers and, well, I enjoy giving things away too. 🙂

Here is my round four submission to the designer contest at Stone Accents Studio. This round we were able to show our own style, choosing our theme and color palette. How fun! I chose “Tea Party” because I have a 3yo daughter with some Tea party pictures to scrap. 🙂
Most of the papers and many of the embellishments are generic enough to be used for other layouts too. I think versatility is important for any kit I design or purchase.
This kit includes 18 papers and 40 embellishments. (Not all embellishments are shown on this preview.)
I will have another freebie related to this kit sometime in the next couple of days too. Thank you for your support and your lovely comments.
So I have made it through to round 3 of the designer contest at Stone Accents Studios. Looking at the other kits for this round, it is going to be REALLY tough this go round. We had both a theme (heritage) AND a color palette of browns that we had to follow. This is my first heritage kit, and I was a little worried about it at first. I think my kit turned out more vintage than heritage, but oh well. I am proud of it. My favorite pieces are the papers (always!), the globe, and the suitcases.
Sorry, this kit is no longer available.
Time for round 2 of the Designer Contest over at Stone Accents Studio.
This time our challenge was to design a kit using a specified color palette and include 10-20 papers and 15-20 elements. And we only had a few days to get it done. Yikes!
My entry is called “Rainy Days and Mondays”. I have had that Carpenters’ song in my head for days as a result. LOL.
Update: Kit is no longer available for download. Please visit my Free Gifts page for a list of my current freebies available for download.
I know, I know, it has been too long since I have given away a freebie. But I have one for you today!! 🙂
I have entered a design contest over a Stone Accents Studio. With September 11th coming up, the theme we were required to use was “Our Heroes”.
I wanted to make the kit so that it met the theme requirements but could also be used for other layouts or events as well. I like my kits to be versatile. The National Guard button that I did include was a shout out to my brother who serves in the National Guard because I am proud of him and the service he does both here in the States and overseas.
Thank you for your comments, your encouragement, and your votes. A vote for No Reimer Reason today means another freebie tomorrow! hehe. Are you getting sick of the political ads on tv too? 🙂
Every time I think of the name of this kit, I hear the “Mommy, Wow! I’m a big kid now” jingle from those old commercials. LOL.
So here is the promised add-on to coordinate with the “I’m a Big Kid Now” Kit I posted on Thursday. You can click on the preview below to be brought to my freebie gallery to download.
This free kit add-on contains:
- 3 patterned papers
- 2 solid papers
- 2 bed elements
- 1 potty element
- 1 folded ribbon
- 2 folded/stapled ribbons
- 1 brad
- 1 ric rac ribbon
