So playing along, I said, &#8220;Hi, Baby Charlie.&#8221; When the doll didn&#8217;t respond to my greeting, Adrianna informed me that, &#8220;He&#8217;s shy&#8221; and hugged him close to herself as if to protect him or tell him that it was okay to be shy.
