She was admitted to the hospital for a few days but was able to go back home on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mom is in a lot of pain, very weak, and on oxygen. She has no appetite. To be honest, and it pains me to say this, I am not sure she has much time left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday was my dad&#8217;s birthday, so we brought cake and ice cream over to my parents&#8217; house with all three of our girls. I wasn&#8217;t sure how Cate would react to my mom&#8217;s condition, since Cate hadn&#8217;t seen her in a couple of months. But she was such a joy and was not fazed at all. She gave my mom a kiss and asked her sweetly, &#8220;Nanna feeling bettoh?&#8221; Later, she sneaked into my mom&#8217;s room where she saw Karen rubbing my mom&#8217;s back. Cate went right up to Mom and started rubbing her back, too. Cate&#8217;s sweet spirit did bring a smile to my mom&#8217;s lips and a welcome joy to my heart.
