I was so tired after walking over Dublin and Glendalough on Monday that, after walking Greg to the Arlington to meet his coworkers on Tuesday, I headed back to our apartment and took a long nap. Afterward, I headed back out to explore Dublin some more.<\/p>\n

I visited the famous Grafton Street and meandered around and listened to street performers. Being a weekday, there were only a few, but some of them were pretty good. Then I walked to St. Stephens Green at the end of the street and sat on a park bench for a bit, soaking up the pleasant, sunny afternoon. (The temperature was in the mid-sixties, so it was quite perfect!)

When it was about time for Greg to return to the Arlington Hotel via taxi, I headed back north on Grafton Street up to O’Connell, where I waited for him by the statue and just enjoyed watching people rushing by. Look at all these buses and crazy lanes of traffic!<\/p>\n

Look Right! I appreciate the “Look Right” and “Look Left” painted on many of the streets. Since Ireland traffic is on the opposite side of the street than I am used to, it means looking in the opposite direction than you normally do. Also, there is a lot more honking of car horns here than I normally hear in Colorado. It is definitely a busy place with lots of buses, trains, taxis, bikes, and pedestrians. But the city is also very walkable, so I’ve been walking everywhere instead of taking the bus like I initially thought I might. On this particular day, I walked just over 8 miles! Not as much as my 10.76 miles the previous day, but still quite a lot!<\/p>\n
