We had our first homeschooling field trip this week: a visit to the symphony. It was a special youth concert, so many other school children were there from public schools, charter schools, and private schools, as well as other homeschoolers.<\/p>\n

This was Adrianna’s first time to see a symphony perform. She excitedly pointed out all the instruments she recognized (violins, french horns, trombone, trumpets, drums) and was pretty well behaved, albeit a bit antsy. Most of the crowd, since it consisted primarily of young children, was in the same fidgety boat.<\/p>\n

The performance they put on was called M\u00c3\u00basica Latina: A Symphonic Celebration of the Americas<\/em>. The songs performed were:<\/p>\n

    We had an enjoyable time and it was a fun mother\/daughter date. Adrianna has already asked when we can go see a symphony perform again.<\/p>\n
