I just got the call with my test results. A normal screen is considered 140 or less. I tested high at 175.<\/p>\n<p>Though these results aren&#8217;t surprising given that I have so many of the risk factors, I am still extremely disappointed. Actually, extremely disappointed may be an understatement. I was still hoping that somehow I could avoid the whole gestational diabetes thing this pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>So now I get to go back and have the three hour glucose test. After an overnight fast, I will get my blood drawn. Then I get to drink the glucose drink again, this time with a 100 gram load instead of just 50 like the previous test. And then I get to have my blood drawn once an hour for three hours. *sigh* I suppose I will go in early next week. I need to stop at Borders this weekend and get a good book to read while I am there.<\/p>\n<p>I also got to get another Rhogam shot at my last appointment; the second one of this pregnancy. (Since I had complications early on, I had to get an extra one.) Those pricks really sting!
