{"id":1531,"date":"2009-07-21T00:02:58","date_gmt":"2009-07-21T06:02:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/noreimerreason.com\/amberandgreg\/?p=1531"},"modified":"2009-07-21T00:15:20","modified_gmt":"2009-07-21T06:15:20","slug":"preschool-visits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noreimerreason.com\/amberandgreg\/?p=1531","title":{"rendered":"Preschool Visits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been able to visit Adrianna&#8217;s class on a couple of special occasions. I really enjoy getting that glimpse of her day and meeting her classmates, and Adrianna seems thrilled to have me there.<\/p>\n<p>The first visit I made was to attend her first field trip: a walk to a nearby bowling alley. We had a bit of excitement on our walk there. We saw a bunch of police vehicles driving around and one of them stopped and asked us adults if we&#8217;d seen a man in the area that fit a certain description. We hadn&#8217;t. Then, a few minutes later, another cop stopped by and asked our destination. When we told him, he informed us (quietly, so the kids couldn&#8217;t hear) that there had been a bank robbery in the area and they hadn&#8217;t checked the bowling alley yet. So he had us wait while they checked and then we continued on our way when we were given the &#8220;all clear&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The bowling was fun, though trying to get a bunch of preschoolers to stay somewhat seated while awaiting their turn is definitely a difficult task. Every kid, Adrianna included, had a major case of the wiggles. Most of the children are very sweet and try to obey, although there were a couple that really tried my patience because they just would not listen. I don&#8217;t think I could make it as a preschool teacher!<\/p>\n<p>Another thing about preschoolers: they aren&#8217;t shy about asking questions. I don&#8217;t know that I have ever had so many people ask me in one day about my birthmark. hehe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Being silly with M<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Adrianna and M\" src=\"\/blog_images\/2009\/06102009_002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"319\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Adrianna\" src=\"\/blog_images\/2009\/06102009_008.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After bowling, we walked back to the school and I stayed while Adrianna had her lunch. Then, I picked up Greg at his nearby workplace and he and I had lunch together. It was a nice way to spend the day.<\/p>\n<p>The second event I was able to attend was a special sing\/dance hour with &#8220;Mr. Shine&#8221;. One of the little boys that I had met when we went bowling came over to me and asked if I remembered him. I did remember and he seemed happy that I even remembered his name. (He was a sweet little guy that Adrianna had palled around with a bit at the previous event.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Preschool\" src=\"\/blog_images\/2009\/07162009_008.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"319\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Preschool\" src=\"\/blog_images\/2009\/07162009_014.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"319\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I am so thankful that I work part-time so I can make these visits.
