For the summer session, she will attend two full days a week. When the fall session starts, she will go three full days a week.<\/p>\n<p>She has been excited for preschool to start. We bought her a backpack last week and she had started wearing it around the house in anticipation of her first day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Adrianna's First Day of Preschool\" src=\"\/blog_images\/2009\/06032009_003.jpg\" alt=\"Adrianna's First Day of Preschool\" width=\"425\" height=\"606\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When we arrived at school, Adrianna became a bit shy. She held my hand as we walked into the classroom. As we were getting ready to leave, she leaned into me and quietly said over and over, &#8220;I wanna be with you, Mommy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Adrianna's First Day of Preschool\" src=\"\/blog_images\/2009\/06032009_011.jpg\" alt=\"Adrianna's First Day of Preschool\" width=\"425\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We got her settled in at one of the tables where some other kids were doing crafts. At this point, we were able to take our leave.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Adrianna's First Day of Preschool\" src=\"\/blog_images\/2009\/06032009_012.jpg\" alt=\"Adrianna's First Day of Preschool\" width=\"425\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was anxious to pick her up at the end of the day and to see how things went. Adrianna was chatty and from what I can gather, they sang songs (<em>The Ants Go Marching<\/em>, <em>If You&#8217;re Happy and You Know it<\/em>), she spelled her name for her teacher, played in the kitchen set, crawled like ants during the aforementioned &#8220;Ants&#8221; song, used glue, and had a nap time.
