Adrianna has had a high fever off and on for the past week, along with a nasty cough. She’d have the fever for a day or two, then nothing the next day. Then the fever would return a couple of days later. All this time, she had seemed to feel okay otherwise, although she has been getting tired earlier in the day which ended in a major meltdown last night at bedtime. So when the fever came back again last night at 102, I decided to take her to the doctor even though she was back to being mostly fine today and back down to 99.<\/p>\n
I am glad we brought her in, as the doctor thinks she has the beginning stages of pneumonia and could hear a bit of rattling on one side of her chest. Her oxygen intake is fine and she isn’t wheezing, so nothing to worry right now about other than we need to keep a closer eye on her than we would if it were just a normal cold. We’ve started her on antibiotics and I will stay home from work with her tomorrow as well.<\/p>\n
I was actually able to get her to take a nap with no fuss this afternoon. She rarely takes naps these days, especially so easily, so maybe she doesn’t feel as well as she lets on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
