Often when we are trying to explain something of a serious nature or give instructions to Adrianna, we will end the conversation with, “Got it?” instead of “Okay?”. This was Greg’s idea, as “Got it?” implies more of a “Do you understand?” to the statements whereas “Okay?” would imply more of a “Do you agree? Is that okay with you?” Sometimes, as a parent, you can’t ask your child’s permission. Things like crossing the street only if you are holding the hand of an adult is something that is not negotiable.<\/p>\n

Tonight, I went in to give her a hug and a kiss as she laid down to go to sleep.<\/p>\n
