Free 8.5×11 Digital Scrapbook Template #66

Prior to today, all of my templates have been created from my own scrapbook layouts that I have made. Since I scrap at 12×12 (or 24×12 for those double pagers), my templates are thus created at those sizes too. But I recently had a request from Rosina, a fellow homeschooling mom, for some 8.5×11 digital scrapbook templates. How could I resist?

So I decided to look into the possibility of converting some of my 12×12 layouts into 8.5×11 layouts. I found a great and EASY tutorial by Biograffiti on resizing 12×12 layouts to 8.5×11, so without further adieu – here is my first 8.5×11 template freebie. You may recognize the layout from my most recent 12×12 freebie.

As I find time (haha) I will try to convert some of my other 12×12 templates into 8.5×11 as well. I will post each new one to the blog here so you won’t miss it. 😉

    Hey Amber,
Here I am. Should have been in bed ages ago but I got your email and just had to come see what goodie you had available for us. Thanks so much….I’ll be back again! If you care to surprise us with some 2 page layouts in this size, I wouldn’t mind a bit 🙂 You know all those tons of pictures we need to take to prove we’re actually schooling; well, there’s hundreds of them by the end of the year and they deserve to be in some nicely scrapped yearbook! Thanks again!

This is so great, as I do all my heritage pages in 8 1/2 x 11 and more of my other pages 12 x 12! Your templates are very imaginative, and yet usable.

I love your templates. They have such simple and clean lines that allow the photographs to be in the spotlight. Your comment about converting 12X12 to 8.5X11 is the best news I’ve heard in a long time. I know that using the smaller templates in kind of counter-culture in the world of scrapbooking but that is still my preference. I have a hard time storing and handling the 12×12 books. I think they look gorgeous but practicality wins for me. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with all of us!

  8. Thanks everyone. It is nice to hear your comments and kind words. I will try to get some more 8.5×11 templates created soon. 🙂
