Store Changes

I have been doing a lot of thinking over the past month, and it is with a very heavy heart that I am resigning my designer position at GDS. I don’t make this decision lightly and I have been agonizing over it, but given my current situation (stress over infertility issues and my job situation as we go through a merger), I am trying to simplify my life a bit. Plus, I really need some more time to work on my own layouts, as I have really been falling behind!

I am totally committed to and will definitely finish out this month’s multi-photo challenge there.  I will probably stick around the community there as a member, as I think GDS is a wonderful place to be, which is just one more reason why it made this decision so very hard for me.

Thank you to everyone who was kind enough to play my Multi-photo challenges and support me over there. You guys are so awesome and one of my favorite things is seeing the wonderful layouts you create. I am thinking about continuing some sort of multi-photo challenge here next month and hope to start offering up some more freebies next month too. 🙂

I will miss seeing your products on GDS, but I am so glad that you introduced me to the site! I love doing the challenges and seeing other people’s layouts (and “borrowing” ideas from these 😉 ) I thought about trying out for the new designer thing, but I just don’t have time right now either. Plus I am already so far behind in my scrappin!

I was wondering if this was your “hard decision” that you posted about on FB. Sorry it hasn’t worked out as you’d hoped, but I’m sure you learned a lot and in all it was a great experience! And nothing says you have to be a designer to run a challenge at GDS, so keep it going if you want – people are loving your challenge!

Have a great relaxing trip and I’ll be praying for you.

Oh honey, I am so sorry to hear of your infertility issues. I went through infertility, treatments, procedures, etc and it SUCKS! I can totally understand your decision to cut some things out. Good luck on your attempts to have a baby. I never was lucky in that way. We ended up adopting a 2 1/2 year old through foster care and he is a pure blessing in our home. 🙂 I pray you are successful!

I’m sure it was a very difficult decision to make! You’re very talented and I look forward to seeing more of your great work on your site & some of those awesome freebies too! 🙂 I fell very behind on my P365 layouts and am just getting caught back up! This past weekend I did layouts for Week 6,7,8 & 10 and am working on 9 – at least it will bring me to the current month – but I better hurry before it’s APRIL next week! 🙂 Hope you can find time to enjoy your own layouts again soon! I’ll also be praying re: your infertilitly issues and other stresses – just remember to give it all over to Our Creator, Sustainer and the Giver of ALL THINGS!

  5. Thanks everyone! It really was a tough decision, since I really enjoy designing, but I am feeling really good about it too, so I know it was the right thing to do.

Karen, I love the challenges too. They help me try new techniques or sometimes just motivate me to get a layout done. The freebie at the end is always a nice bonus too. 🙂

Erin, thanks! I really have enjoyed my time at GDS and have learned so much. It is such a great community.

Michele, I am glad to hear about your happy ending with your little boy. 🙂

And Michelle, thanks for your encouragement too. I am looking forward to scrapping some more here soon. I really need to get moving on my P365 layouts too!

Thanks everyone! You guys are so encouraging and I really appreciate it. 🙂

I will look forward to continuing to visit you here, and will also pray for you as you deal with infertility issues, and the merger issues. I just appreciate so much the way you and your templates have impacted my scrapbooking! I sometimes go off on bunny-trails, but keep coming back to remember what I hope to accomplish with the layouts I’m making; you’ve been a blessing an encouragement to me as I enjoy working on projects that I hope will bless others!
