A Little Appreciation Goes a Long Way

There have been some fun things going on at my workplace, in spite of all the negativity. Ann and I were asked to create a new website that will contain a lot of training materials and process pages for several job roles that will soon be consolidated into one location (from today’s 30ish locations) at our company. We are almost finished and it goes live next Monday. We had a meeting today with all the business owners and they love what we have done so far. They are so encouraging and appreciative of the effort that we have done. It has been a bright spot for me the past couple of weeks. A little encouragement and support goes a long way. I find that I bend over backwards for people who are appreciative of the work that I do for them. I will strive to not only meet but also beat expectations.

Another great thing about this project is we were given quite a bit of creative control in regards to the overall look and feel of the site. We were able to make it very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I love this part of my job. Not only working with such great team members but creating such a useful tool that will get a lot of use in training so many people as they start with the company. I could do this all day.
