Anniversary Date

My parents and my sister, Cindy, came down to our house on Saturday night and stayed through today to watch the Superbowl on our big tv.

On Saturday, my mom was kind enough to watch Adrianna for us so that Greg and I could have a real date (in celebration of our 6th anniversary). Our last date was back in November when we went to see Harry Potter, so I was thrilled.

Greg and I ate at my favorite restaurant, PF Changs. It was so nice and relaxing to be able to have a meal with just the two of us. No baby to have to entertain or feed. Great service and even greater food. I loved it. I am so glad that Greg and I have so much in common too. We talked a lot about web design, his trip to California last week, and other things that we are both interested in.

After dinner, we headed to Borders to kill some time before the movie. Borders is one of those stores that both of us enjoy spending lots of time and money in. Then, we went to see Fun with Dick and Jane. It was a pretty decent and funny movie. I really enjoy Jim Carrey; I think he is such a talented actor when it comes to comedies. The credits thanked all these high up executives at Enron, Arthur Anderson, and those other companies that were involved with fraud a few years back. hehe. I am sure they were the inspiration for the plotline.

Today, my mom helped me work on our house and also helped watch Adrianna. I have been getting pretty stressed about this whole move/getting our house ready to sell thing which is making me extra moody too (sorry Greg!) so getting work done today has been a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. My mom and I cleared out a lot of stuff from our basement and I feel that we got a lot accomplished. I wouldn’t have been able to get it all done without her. Greg was busy mudding holes in the ceiling and walls, so I feel we put in a good day’s work. The basement looks so much better and so much roomier now. There is still a lot of work to be done, but by seeing results as tangible as today’s were, I am feeling encouraged. Maybe the stress-knot in my back can start easing up now.
