Clap, Clap, Clap Your Hands

I have been trying to get Adrianna to clap her hands along with me when I clap mine or when I sing the song Clap, Clap, Clap Your Hands. I knew she could bring her hands together as I’d seen her do it many times. But as to actually clapping on cue, well, I was beginning to think that I wasn’t getting through to her. Until today.

My mom and I were watching America’s Funniest Home Videos. Adrianna was sitting on my lap. The camera panned to the audience after a commercial break, and the audience was clapping. All of a sudden, Adrianna started clapping her hands too. She did it several more times; clapping whenever the audience would clap. Those were great moments.

Oh, and she has two teeth now. They are side by side on her bottom gum. The second tooth just started coming in this past weekend. I am thinking that is why she has been SO abnormally fussy lately and not sleeping as well as she normally does. I cannot wait until this whole teething thing is done. A fussy baby is not a fun baby.

Adrianna is so cute with the keyboard. She looks like a future programmer. I have been trying to get e to
clap his hands but doesnt really seem to get it. It is funny how much they learn from watching
other babies. When I went to the states in September I met a friend of mine whose son wasn´t quite
as active as e. He didnt splash in the tub or try to sit up or crawl (which is very normal at that age
and he was/is a very smart little boy) but when he saw e going crazy in the tub and sitting up and crawling
around he started doing it to. We put them in the tub together, e was crazy, Rook was relaxed, then
we took e out and rook started splashing. It was the first time. Anyway, sometimes when babies see
other babies or maybe audience members then they think they can do it too. I wish I had more people
    to take e around.

[…] She has been clapping her hands for a few weeks. She will now clap them when we clap our hands, tell her to clap her hands, or tell her to play patty-cake. […]
