Scary sounds

Adrianna sometimes makes this noise that sounds almost as if she is gasping for air. It is hard to explain. But I know she just does it because she can, and once she discovers how to make a new noise, she continues to make it because she is pretty proud of herself. In this case, she probably also likes that she gets a reaction out of me. I hate that noise because, as a mom, it scares me. But I know that she is fine because she is usually just playing or happy when she makes it.

Except for tonight. Tonight she started making those noises, but they were accompanied by crying. I totally freaked out. This time, I wasn’t sure if it was a put on or if she really was having a hard time breathing. Greg isn’t here; he is out with some friends having a guys’ night playing poker. Which means I am stuck at home without a car. I had a really panicky moment and started crying right along with Adrianna because I was so scared and didn’t know what to do. I thought about running over to my neighbor’s house even though it was late to get her opinion on if I should call an ambulance. In the end, since I could see that Adrianna was able to breathe in spite of the scary noises she was making, I decided to try nursing Adrianna because that usually calms her down. She quit making the noises after awhile and drifted off into a peaceful sleep. *sigh of relief* She sure scared me.

e makes that noise quite often too. But usually when he is happy and playing. When he was first born he used to make a weasy noise that would scare the crap out of me. It was a similar noise but not exactly the same. I can understand why you would be scared. I am glad that she is ok though. E got his 6 month shots. They said that I need to start feeding him chicken soon. I was wondering what your Dr has said about meats since Adrianna is the same age.

hey just wanted to say that I went to some of your family and friends blogs (hope that´s ok) and I really enjoyed reading several of them. Is Jeff Reimer your brother? I thought his site was especially funny. Hope things are going well there. -Jamie
