Rough morning

Yesterday was our first day on our own with Adrianna. We were a little nervous about how things would go since all our extra help was gone, but I am pleased to say that it went well. Adrianna also had a good night, only waking us up for diaper changes and feedings every couple of hours.

Today, it is just Adrianna and me. It has been a rough morning. Adrianna has been fussy, which is out of character for her. I think her stomach is upset or that she has gas. She is also already on her 4th outfit, and it is only just after 1:00. Adrianna has an uncanny knack for soiling her diaper minutes after I have put her into a fresh one. These diapers that we bought are leaking, which is really frustrating. Especially since they are the exact same brand and size as the ones we were using previously without any mishaps. So that explains 1 outfit change today-leaky diapers. Adrianna has also managed to pee on the changing table twice today during diaper changes and I wasn’t quick enough to get a new diaper under her to catch it. 2 more outfit changes. *sigh*

Amber, I cried SO HARD throughout all of “Fair is the Rose,” and did not like the ending…:( Is it possible to absolutely love a book, yet hate it at the same time?! Oh well, I guess I’m just a “Happy Ending” type of person…but the story of Ruth and Leah is really pretty sad too, so I guess it sticks to the “storyline”…I hope things turn out ok in the last book!

Just remember that Gas Drops are your friend so use them! 🙂 You can’t give her too much according to my mom.

Karen – that is exactly how I felt about the book too. I cried and thought about the book for days after I had finished it. My reaction was the same even after reading the book a second time a few months later! Now you need to read the third book. It is also heartbreakingly good, and I know you will love it as much as I did.

Jen – thanks so much for those drops. They really were my friend tonight! Adrianna is back to her sweet, contented self after a dose of them. 😉
