My 1st trip (alone) with baby

Today I had to take Adrianna to the doctor’s office for another weigh-in. By myself. (Last time Greg went with me.) I was pretty nervous about doing it alone without Greg’s help and support.

I made sure that I was the one who put Adrianna’s carrier into the car this time so that I would know how to do it by myself later at the doctor’s. However, I forgot to ask Greg how to take the carrier back out. So after I dropped Greg off at work and I got to the doctor’s office, several minutes were spent trying to figure that out. I checked both sides of the car seat and could not see any contraption that would release the carrier. I finally realized that it was on the rear of the seat. I am glad no one was outside watching me walk around my car and get in both sides trying to figure that darn thing out.

Adrianna was really quiet in the waiting room. I was SO glad. When we went back to the room where we would see the doctor, I had to undress Adrianna for the weighing. I realized she needed a diaper change, so I took care of that as well. Adrianna chose that moment between diapers to let loose some pee. That makes three times in two days that she has done this to me. Ornery child. 😉 Thankfully it was on the table where they have that paper sheet that you can remove and throw away so no harm done really other than stressing her mommy out. She also did quite a bit of crying as she hates having her clothes removed or being dressed.

Adrianna now weighs 8 pounds, 12 ounces. The doctor was pleased with her weight gain.

The ride home was uneventful. For that I was grateful.

She’s growing and I’m missing it…. I’m having post parting depression! Seriously, I’m thankful she is doing so well, and that you made your first trip out without too big an incident! Love you!
